HeartBreakTunes facebookBALANCE AND COMPOSURE
A cohesive listen of anthemic and melodic guitar blitzes with poignant lyricism, rhythmic thrusts and an abrasive pop knack in its overall deliverance, "Separation" helped establish Balance and Composure as one of underground rock's most promising newcomers.
Picking up where Separation left off, Balance and Composure return once again to push the boundaries of their music with driving riffs and intensely passionate vocals on the band's long-awaited second studio album, The Things We Think We're Missing.
Seahaven exude an effortless and expert musical control, toeing the line between post-punk, emo and post-hardcore styles, moods and atmospheres. The songs carry an ethereal, organic depth and expertise of the space surrounding the music, resulting in a moving dynamism. From airy, minimalist textures to catchy, upbeat pop-rock sections to fully overblown anthems, the band stitch cohesive songs together behind the weaving delivery of vocalist Kyle Soto. The subtle combination of emo, indie and post-punk is brought to life by the uplifting natural production and orchestral instrumentation. Warm, beach-y reverb blankets equally contemplative and carefree sounding pop that ebbs and flows with rising strings and def percussion, making for Seahavenís most interesting and engaging songs yet.
From late Summer 2012, these four dudes have been writing songs about relationships, friends, family and coffee drinking. A distinctly British twist on a sound that harks back to the glory days of Deep Elm Records and mid 90′s emo.
