TOXIC HOLOCAUST mutated into existence in 1999, when Joel Grind merged his love for classic punk and metal into his ideal band. Like his influences - Bathory, Venom, English Dogs, Possessed, Broken Bones - TOXIC HOLOCAUST featured blazing riffs, gravel-throated vocals, and a deadly fixation on the evil in man and a post-apocalyptic world. Grind wrapped all of these elements up with a DIY attitude.

BLACK TUSK (us)
The Dirty South has produced yet another great stoner metal band, that combines sludge, post metal, post hardcore, and old-fashioned southern rock. Syrupy-slow riffage, intricate guitar work and psychedelic features are full-out present. The band plays with an energy that is invigorating and addictive and that easily wins you over to jump on the swamp metal wagon that explores sonic landscapes.

DOWNFALL OF GAIA (ger)
Dark, ominous, yet not completely hopeless, Downfall Of Gaia’s music is as uplifting as it is overwhelming. The aural peaks and valleys fill the often lengthy tracks with a rewarding listening experience. Though their origin was very crust-infused, the band has taken a much different approach to more recent material. Fast d-beat influenced songs have given way to longer, slower tunes. Recent material can be described as enormous creations that encroach upon the listener like a towering monolith. Their new sound draws elements from doom, black metal, down tempo, sludge, and even hardcore. The end result is an aesthetic not lacking in majesty or depth.
